About Course

Algebra and geometry are where math stops being a list of facts to memorise and starts becoming a way of thinking. Once you can manipulate a variable, read a graph, and reason about a shape, you have a toolkit that powers everything from physics and coding to architecture, finance, and game design. This course is built to take you from solid number sense all the way to confident, exam-ready mastery of both subjects.

We begin by sharpening the foundations: integers, order of operations, fractions and percents at speed, exponents, roots, and scientific notation. From there we build algebra brick by brick, expressions, the distributive property, multi-step equations and inequalities, before moving into the visual world of lines, slopes, and systems of equations. Then we tackle polynomials, factoring, and the quadratic formula, the engine room of high-school algebra.

The second half turns to geometry. You will master angles, triangles, polygons, the Pythagorean theorem, and the formulas for perimeter, area, and volume. We then go deeper into congruence and similarity, circles, coordinate geometry, and a genuine introduction to right-triangle trigonometry, sine, cosine, and tangent. We finish with the skills that tie it all together: translating word problems, ratios and proportions, probability and statistics, real-world modelling, and exam strategy.

Every lesson is written by your instructor as real teaching, not filler: clear explanations, fully worked step-by-step examples, a heads-up about the mistake students make most often, and practice problems with answers so you can check yourself. This is for motivated teens aged about 13 to 17 who are ready to stop fearing math and start owning it. By the end, an equation, a graph, or a geometry proof will look less like a puzzle and more like a problem you already know how to solve.

What you’ll learn

  • Solve multi-step linear equations and inequalities with confidence and accuracy
  • Graph lines fluently using slope-intercept and point-slope form
  • Solve systems of equations by substitution, elimination, and graphing
  • Multiply binomials with FOIL and factor trinomials, GCFs, and differences of squares
  • Apply the quadratic formula to solve any quadratic equation
  • Use the Pythagorean theorem and area, perimeter, and volume formulas correctly
  • Calculate distance, midpoint, and missing sides using right-triangle trigonometry
  • Translate real-world word problems into equations and solve them strategically

Course Content

Number Sense Foundations
Sharpen the core skills every algebra and geometry topic depends on: integers, order of operations, fractions and percents at speed, exponents, roots, and scientific notation.

  • Integers and the Four Operations
  • Order of Operations (PEMDAS)
  • Fractions, Decimals, and Percents at Speed
  • Exponents, Roots, and Scientific Notation
  • Number Sense Foundations Quiz

Algebra Basics
Meet the language of algebra: variables and expressions, combining like terms, the distributive property, and solving linear equations and inequalities step by step.

Linear Relationships
Enter the coordinate plane: plot points, measure slope, graph lines, write equations in slope-intercept and point-slope form, and solve systems of equations.

Exponents, Polynomials & Factoring
Master the exponent rules, operate on polynomials, multiply binomials with FOIL, factor expressions, and solve quadratics with the quadratic formula.

Geometry Foundations
Build geometric reasoning from the ground up: points, lines, and angles; angle relationships; triangles and polygons; the Pythagorean theorem; and perimeter, area, and volume.

Geometry Deeper
Go further with congruence and similarity, the geometry of circles, distance and midpoint on the coordinate plane, and an introduction to right-triangle trigonometry.

Problem-Solving & Applications
Put it all to work: translate word problems into equations, use ratios and proportions, analyse data with mean, median, and mode, compute probability, and master exam strategy.

Final Assessment
This is your chance to prove how far you have come, from signed numbers and the order of operations all the way to factoring quadratics, the Pythagorean theorem, and right-triangle trigonometry. Read each question carefully, show your working on paper, and use the step-by-step methods you practised in every module. You need 70% to pass. Take your time, check that each answer is reasonable, and trust the skills you have built.
